Preform this exercise to reduce the likelihood of injury in overhead sports. 

This exercise will increase the strength of the external rotators (of the hip) thereby allowing the athlete to jump more explosively while decreasing the likelihood of knee-related injuries. 

You can have a strong lower- & upper-body, but if the core isn’t strong enough to connect the power between the two, it's worthless. Preform this exercise to efficiently transfer power through your body and tap into the strength you've worked so hard to develop.
